Daddy didn't love me..

"Y-You can't do this dad!" Connor shouted angrily at his father. Sean O'Reilly scoffed and glared at his son.

"I can do as I please, I am the king! You could be too if you found a nice girl and married her..."

"I don't need a girl, I have Tacc!" Connor's wings fluttered wildly and he flew closer to his father glaring. The king did the same.

"He is a man, a vampire!"

"I love him!" The young prince shouted. His father dropped to his feet, stunned momentarily before running a hand down his face.

"By God this is Jack all over again... I thought you'd changed, you're older, I thought you'd be normal by now.." Connor's eyes widened in horror at this.

"Normal..? Thought I'd grow out of it!? Dad! This is who I am! I will never change! You're the stubborn one who needs to open his mind to new ideas..!" The king looked appalled.

"New ideas he says! You want me to accept a gay son!?" The prince's eyes watered and tears streamed down his cheeks.

"I want you to accept your son! And if you can't...I will marry without consent.." Connor stated wiping his eyes. The king turned from his son and there was a silence in the room. The only thing audible was the heavy breathing of Connor, that is until his father spoke 6 words softly.

"You know what this means...yes?"

"Permanent. Banishment." Connor replied confidently. His father sighed.

"You're willing to give up all this.." The king motioned around his thrown room. "For that?" He pointed to the vampire he knew was hiding behind a pillar. Said vampire floated out slowly from behind the structure, glaring at his lover's father.

"His name is Tacc...And yes, I am." The king turned to face his son, expressionless.

"Then go...get out of my sight!" He shouted, his voice echoing in the large room. The prince's eyes watered again and he looked deeply hurt. With a gulp he replied,

"Fine." Turning quickly he flew towards the door, grabbing Tacc on the way out, and left, possibly forever.
